The terrain of the Bible Open Air Museum is hard to get at for (semi-)invalid and older visitors who have poor mobility. Therefore Royal Haskoning employees in Nijmegen worked on a design of a transport system.
The study conducted by our colleagues include the museum’s options, investment costs, operating costs, pros and cons of the systems, and the implications for the museum’s logistics.
From 2007 the Open Air Bible Museum will have a new name: Museumpark Orientalis. The design of a transport system for visitors with mobility problems dovetails very well with the museum's new vision to go with the new name.
