Royal Haskoning continues sound growth in 2007 with 17% increase in turnover

Royal Haskoning’s turnover increased with 17% in 2007, which primarily resulted from organic growth. The turnover increased to € 327 million and net profit increased from € 10.4 million to € 11.1 million. Gross profit, before the distribution of profits to the employees, amounted to € 23.2 million. The distribution of profits to employees was € 8.0 million. By the end of 2007 the order portfolio had increased to 6.5 months. The value of the shares held by the employees increased by 21%.


50% of the turnover stemmed from contracts for the private sector. Western Europe remains the basis for our strong market position bringing in 76% of the Group’s operating income. The turnover in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Belgium rose by more than 18% in 2007. In the Netherlands Royal Haskoning strengthened its market position in structural design through the acquisition of Corsmit, while the acquisition of the Denis Wilson Partnership added traffic planning and infrastructure to the existing package of services in the United Kingdom.

Outside Europe turnover rose by almost 20%, with the Middle East and Asia in particular showing robust growth. Significant steps are being taken in such places as Dubai, Qatar and India to make further growth possible.
