Each year our graduate recruitment campaign fills vacancies across the range of our disciplines. As a graduate engineer, scientist or specialist you will be given early responsibility within a multi-disciplinary environment. You will have the opportunity of contributing to both large, complex projects as wall as small, specialist projects. You will work alongside highly skilled and experienced colleagues. Our graduates cut their teeth on projects across the UK and overseas.
We consider that the promise of a structured training programme is a key reason for graduates joining Royal Haskoning and we therefore provide training schemes approved by the
ICE,
CIWEM,
IStructE and other relevant institution schemes. Our successful graduate training is both on and off the job, balancing the needs of the Company and the individual with the needs and requirements of the professional institution. 85% of our graduates become chartered at the first attempt.
The course will be offered as follows:
Year 1-2 grads
Ideally ICE graduates will attend all specified (Yr 1-2) courses in the next 18 months after starting their training agreement. The first set of courses have been selected by the ICE Supervising Civil Engineers (SCE’s) to give you a broad range of training relevant to our business. The courses should provide a basic understanding of engineering materials, health & safety and commercial aspects. We take a competency-based approach to learning and development for all of our employees. You will have an annual development review with your manager which leads to a personal development plan. Your manager is available to provide support and guidance and to help you decide the best ways to meet your development needs. This might be through formal training, new qualifications, coaching, mentoring, job rotation, secondments or overseas assignments.
Although technical learning is essential, for truly rounded professionals, we also recognise the importance of developing softer skills e.g. communication skills, interpersonal skills, personal confidence, facilitation and negotiation and have a wealth of tried and tested courses available. Where needed some of which have been tailored specifically to meet the needs of our individuals and clients.
In developing you, we are developing our business. We are securing your future and ours.
