For many years Royal Haskoning executes many consultancy activities for Petroplus regarding to environmental, health and safety issues.
 
In 2002 and 2003 Royal Haskoning has executed the following activities related to environmental issues:

• drawing up the Environmental Impact Assessment for the LNG plant;
• drawing up the required planning applications.

In August 2003, Royal Haskoning has been appointed by Petroplus Tankstorage to execute as Employer's consultant, the following activities: 

• reviewing and evaluating the first phase Invitation to Tender documents (set up by others) for the EPC Contract; 
• reviewing and evaluating the initial bids by selected EPC Contractors;
• preparing final Invitation to Tender documents for the EPC Contract; 
• performing several studies in addition to the FEED (executed by others), regarding, amongst other things:
  - LNG send-out capacities;
  - set-up of LNG processing equipment;
  - location of flare;
  - noise;
  - security;
  - hydrogeological study;
  - ship CAPEX/OPEX study.
