Wind energy can make an important contribution to the reduction of greenhouse gases and the use of fossil fuels. Royal Haskoning is advising BP on the integration of wind energy into their operational sites.

The 9 MW wind farm that was built in 2005 at the BP terminal in the port of Amsterdam currently has the most powerful windmills in the Netherlands, with minimal adverse impact on the landscape and maximum environmental benefit. Royal Haskoning’s input included the environmental studies and advising on the permitting process concerning the required planological and environmental permits.
