Client produces catalysts for the industry and due to foreseen growth of market demand the catalyst plant is extended. Client requested Royal Haskoning to assist with Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management.

The new facilities started as a brown field project meaning limited space is available for Design and Construction. Over 250 new equipment items were incorporated in the factory; 3D laser scanning and modeling were applied to guarantee the perfect fit. For planning the fast-track approach was applied, as the motto was “Schedule is King”. Construction coordination was notable as the existing plant remained in operation. All site and office personnel worked with up-to-date information and files verified by web-based document control.
