We have prepared the design and tender documents for a wet basin, dock gate and several large workshops and stores. A 350t Goliath crane and 100t rail mounted cranes are included.
We were commissioned by Mazagon Dockyard Ltd, the premier shipbuilding yard for the Indian Navy, to prepare preliminary design, detailed design and tender documents for their modernisation programme. This included the a 25,000m² wet basin and associated dock gate, an 8,000m² Module Shop with a retractable roof, a Cradle Assembly Shop and Stores Building and other Ancillary Buildings. In addition the specification and procurement of a 350t Goliath crane and 100t and 15t level luffing cranes all rail mounted are included together with all mechanical and electrical services including HV supplies and piped gases.
The detailed design work was undertaken by local sub-consultants to our concept designs. We also managed the procurement of site surveys and additional geotechnical investigations and will supervise the construction of the whole of the works.
