The project concerns the relocation of the geotechnology department of the civil engineering and geotechnology faculty (CiTG) in the end building of the civil engineering complex.
An overall approach and technical general specifications were prepared during the definition phase, after which the project was split into two subprojects:
renovation of the end building and providing teaching facilities in the main building.

The functionality of the end building and the teaching facilities (dating from 1973) no longer met current requirements. The end building’s service systems were moreover technically obsolete and there was a pressing need for renovation.
The end building was stripped back to its structural shell. The layout of the end building was changed, new service systems were installed and the entire structure was given a new glass curtain wall.

The end building will provide space for laboratories and related work areas. The other workplaces and teaching facilities will be located in the complex’s main building.
