Job description

As a talented design-oriented Project Engineer you will work on multi-disciplinary projects in a market that is experiencing rapid change. You will hold joint responsibility for projects right through from launch to completion. You will work as part of a team to produce feasibility and master plan studies, conceptual and specification designs as well as tender documents, and evaluating quotations and providing supervision during the implementation stage.
With your know-how and expertise in dry bulk, you will contribute to shaping and extending the services we provide both to the internal organisation and our clients. Depending on your talent and ambition, the technical experience gained in this role will allow you to progress to the position of Expert or Project Manager.

Profile

  • You hold a degree in mechanical engineering, specialising in transport science or transport&logistics.
  • You have at least 4 years' experience in the dry bulk/materials handling sector
  • You speak Dutch and English as a minimum 
  • You enjoy being involved in design-oriented engineering projects
  • You get a kick out of working on large-scale terminal projects and the prospect of international adventure fills you with enthusiasm.

Organisation

The Materials Handling department is a strategic partner in the implementation of integral industrial projects, including those in dry bulk handling. We form part of the Industry and Energy Business Line.
Our strength lies in providing a high quality consultancy service and project support at every stage of industrial projects. The division specialises in technical/financial feasibility studies, conceptual design, logistics and production optimisation as well as cost control and risk management. We design and implement terminals for our clients for the storage and transfer of bulk goods, including coal, ores, cereals and raw material ingredients for animal feed.
