Job description
You will act as Senior Transport Economist on a range of projects principally relating to the field of maritime transport and logistics. You will supervise younger project staff and ensure delivery of projects within programme and budget constraints. More specifically you will:
• Prepare Cargo/trade forecasts for maritime projects
• Prepare Market studies
• Prepare Financial models and execute financial analysis.
• Execute economic analyses for maritime projects
• Manage projects as required
• Contribute to the development of the Client base through the production of proposals and interaction with Clients.
• Provide advice and expertise to more junior staff.
•Carry out any duties which your line manager may reasonably request within the broad parameters of your role
Profile
• You have gained a minimum of 10 years experience in maritime (consultancy) projects, cargo forecasting and financial and economic analyses, preferably while working for a consultancy firm.
• (Academic) degree in Transport Economy or similar.
•Mastery of the English language. Dutch, French, Spanish, Portuguese or ussian language skills would be an advantage.
Organisation
The Business Group Maritime NL consists of a team of circa 75 engineers, advisors and project managers carrying out projects in the Netherlands and overseas, notably in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. Port authorities, port organizations, shipping lines, port operators as well as contractors, oil-companies and multinational financiers and commercial banks are our main Clients. In the Netherlands the Business Group Maritime NL has offices in Rotterdam and Nijmegen.
