Structural design
In close cooperation with the contractor, Corsmit has designed the structure with using prefab concrete. With the height of 132 meters it is the highest prefab concrete residential structure in The Netherlands. This design is the proof that it is possible to combine social housing with innovative design and striking high-rise buildings.

Het Strijkijzer has 351 housing units: three hundred studios for young people and 51 luxury rental apartments. The building has a number of sun lounges, two separate entrances and a total of five lifts. And there is more: a trendy Grand Café, a launderette and workspaces. And a special glass panorama lift that goes straight to the terrace on the 41st floor."
