The RNLI is renowned throughout the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland as the charity that saves lives at sea, and since its foundation in 1824 it has saved more than 137,000 people. Today it has more than 230 lifeboat stations, 300 lifeboats, and lifeguard services covering 140 beaches around our coastlines.
Working with the RNLI since 1896, across a backdrop of two world wars, economic ebb and flow, technological advancement, and more recently, an environmental sea-change, Royal Haskoning and its predecessors WT Douglass, Lewis, Posford and Duvivier, have been instrumental in helping the charity achieve its vision of providing a robust and enduring world class sea rescue service in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
Extremely proud of this 115 year association, Royal Haskoning continues to provide consultancy, design and project management services to the RNLI, helping it build its new rescue facilities, designed to accommodate the demands of 21st century maritime activity and the growth in aquatic leisure pursuits.
