Anton van der Sanden Appointed Director of Planning & Transport at Royal Haskoning

Anton van der Sanden (1967) has been with Royal Haskoning since 1994. He was Head of the Advisory Group in the Industrial Installations Division (2004-2006) and Director at Dordtse Engineering (2006-2009). Prior to his appointment as Business Line Director, Anton was Divisional Director for Industrial Engineering (2009-2010). On the 1st of July 2011 he was appointed Business Development Director for the Planning & Transport business Line. This gave him the opportunity to work closely with Piet van Putten, prior to his retirement, and prepared him for his new role as Director of the business line.
Anton van der Sanden commented on his new position: “My new role at Royal Haskoning is going to be a great challenge. My aim is to build on the foundation of my predecessor, Piet van Putten, and expand and develop our brand. The experience and know-how of our Business Line focuses on environment, spatial development and infrastructure (tunnels, roads, bridges, traffic management installations). Our goal is to expand our services and deliver our knowledge to a wider base, for example the Middle East, Brazil and Asia. Our added value is our integrated approach to sustainable environmental development. It is not just about the design, it is equally important that a new tunnel or new residential area is well integrated in the environment, taking into account the needs of all stakeholders. Therefore I am confident that our integrated approach to sustainable development will add value to our clients.”
