There are enough policies, plans and ambitions. But many countries are struggling to finance and implement measures. Indeed, as the OECD recently states: the global water crisis is a crisis of water governance. There is no one single solution for this crisis. Creating a sense of urgency and political commitment, developing a process to involve all stakeholders to create a long-term vision and strategy as well as identifying ways for financing and implementing solutions need to be based and build on the unique existing socio-economic and institutional setting of a city and country. Royal Haskoning invites scientists, decision makers and practioners to join our search for ingredients, steps, actions and measures to develop a "delta process." A process that - we believe - starts with delta dialogue, works towards a delta plan and creates the delta partnerships that will actually finance and implement measures.
