Situation in Libya
04-03-2011
Royal Haskoning very much regrets the situation that has arisen with the three Dutch military staff in Libya.

For the safety of those involved, Royal Haskoning will not give any information about the evacuation of its staff, other than to confirm that all our expats have been evacuated from Libya.
Royal Haskoning is active in many countries all over the world, including Northern Africa and the Middle East. We take every precaution to guarantee the safety of our staff through the usual channels. We follow the advice from NL and UK government and specialist external parties.

We are working on three projects in Libya: the repair of a breakwater, the design of a container terminal and supervision of the construction of a quay wall; and an oil port.

We closely monitor developments, such as those in the Middle East and Northern Africa, in order to justify our presence in a certain country or region without compromising the safety of our staff. Royal Haskoning will continue to follow this process in the future.

For the time being, Royal Haskoning will give no more comments on the situation.
