RUBIS leases a plot in the harbour of Rotterdam, where a new liquid bulk terminal is planned for K1/K2/K3 chemicals.
The scope of this terminal includes product storage tanks including associated pumps and piping, vapour return/treatment systems, truck, railcar & ship (un-)loading installations, the complete site infrastructure (tank pits, roads, railways) and all utilities, control room and existing office building. The facilities are co-sited meaning that steam/condensate, plant air and electricity is taken from the neighbours. Nitrogen, fire water and clean rain water are fed to the neighbours.
Services provided by Royal Haskoning:
- Basic Engineering, Detailed Engineering and Procurement & Construction Management Services;
- “Co-siting”: utility sharing with neighbours;
- Development of automation concept.
Cooperation with other Royal Haskoning divisions:
- Division Environment for soil cleaning plan;
- Division Infrastructure for the rail design;
- Division Maritime for (re)construction of the jetties.
