Extended Safety Data Sheets
Each time a hazardous product is delivered to a customer for the first time, it must be accompanied by a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Additionally updates can be required.
The SDS contains information about the product regarding hazards, regulatory classifications and further supplementary information such as first aid, fire fighting methods and waste management.
The SDS will have a specific design and language, depending on your consuming market, and will need to contain geographically specific information in certain cases. We provide SDS facilities in over 25 languages.
Royal Haskoning has been making SDSs for numerous customers from various sectors for more than 20 years. We supported the VROM Inspectorate with dedicated training courses on classification & labelling and SDS.
Since REACH came into force, any new or updated SDS needs to comply with the requirements according to REACH. Royal Haskoning has implemented REACH in her SDS software. Besides this, the recently adopted CLP Regulation (also referred to as EU-GHS or GHS) will have consequences for SDS's in the near future. Royal Haskoning can support you in many different ways in the transition towards this new Regulation.
